Swiggy Instamart 2025 Report Reveals Shocking Trends: Chennai Man Spends ₹1.06 Lakh on Condoms, Indians Now Ordering iPhones, Gold and Silver Online

Swiggy Instamart’s latest insight report “How India Instamarted 2025” has revealed some truly surprising and entertaining shopping trends across the country. What began as a platform mainly used for milk, bread, groceries and daily essentials has now transformed into a premium lifestyle shopping hub, where Indians are confidently purchasing high-value and unusual products through quick delivery.

One of the most astonishing highlights of the report comes from Chennai, where a single customer spent over ₹1.06 lakh on condoms alone, placing 228 separate orders in just one year. The report further states that condoms have now become a very common Instamart item, appearing in 1 out of every 127 orders, with a noticeable spike in purchases during September.

But it doesn’t stop there. Swiggy Instamart has also witnessed a massive rise in orders for luxury and high-value products, including the latest iPhone 17, gold coins, and even silver bricks. This clearly proves that Indians are no longer using quick commerce platforms only for emergency or last-minute needs — instead, these platforms have become an integral part of everyday lifestyle shopping.
