Diljit Dosanjh and filmmaker Imtiaz Ali brought pride to Indian and Punjabi cinema as they represented the country at the 53rd International Emmy Awards held in New York City. Their acclaimed Netflix film Amar Singh Chamkila secured two prominent nominations — Best Performance by an Actor for Diljit Dosanjh and TV Movie/Mini-Series for the film. The project stood out as India’s only entry at this year’s International Emmys.
On the red carpet, Diljit Dosanjh impressed audiences with his signature turban and a stylish shimmery blazer, while Imtiaz Ali opted for a classic black tuxedo. Earlier in the day, Imtiaz participated in an official Emmy panel, where he discussed the film’s exploration of art, conflict, and Punjab’s cultural landscape.
