India’s Most Expensive Vehicle Number: HR88B8888 Auctioned for ₹1.17 Crore in Haryana

Haryana has created a national record by auctioning India’s costliest vehicle registration number, HR88B8888, for an astonishing ₹1.17 crore. The Haryana Transport Department conducted the online auction under the HR88 Kundli (Sonipat) series, where 45 bidders competed intensely for the premium VIP number.
The winning bidder, Sudhir Kumar from Hisar, secured the highly coveted plate after a rapid surge in bids starting from the base price of ₹50,000. The “all-8” sequence — considered extremely lucky in numerology — and the unique visual appeal of the plate significantly boosted demand.
With this record-breaking sale, Haryana has once again highlighted the rising craze for fancy number plates, VIP registration numbers, and premium vehicle numbers across India, making HR88B8888 a major talking point nationwide.
